Beware of the dangerous toy. It contains 700 times more lead than is allowed

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI) has drawn attention to the toy, which poses a serious risk due to possible environmental pollution. According to her, the SPECIAL MISSION light tank contains 72% lead in the solder joints compared to the 0.1 allowed. Mandatory data and safety information are not documented.

According to the ČOI, the plastic battery-powered toy does not comply with the restrictions on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. "This is a plastic toy for pencil batteries in the shape of a military tank with sound and light. The toy is intended for children older than three years," the inspection described.

"The solder joint inside the toy was found to contain a multiple excess of lead, up to a value of 72.0%, compared to the permitted limit value of 0.1%," the inspection said. "It represents a serious environmental risk due to possible environmental pollution," added ČOI about the danger.
According to her, the toy does not even meet the manufacturer's identification requirements and does not come with instructions and safety information. Product distributed by Moonlight H-B s.r.o. from Frýdek-Místek, the inspection ordered to withdraw from the market.
